As per the requirement of Chief Controller of Explosives, the Cylinders should be hydro tested at an authorised testing shop every five years.
Procedure for Hydro Testing
The cylinder is filled with water and fixed in the Vice. Then as per the Cylinder Hydro Test pressure punched on every cylinder the same air pressure is filled in the cylinder through Hydraulic testing pump. After reaching that pressure, the water level of the cylinder is noted
